- Experiences of simultaneous translation applications at the ITU/UN
- The International Telecommunications Union is an agency of the United Nations with members representing 192 countries. ITU meetings are typically conducted in Geneva and employ simultaneous interpretation to accommodate delegates speaking different languages. To increase participation, reduce expenses, and become carbon-neutral, the ITU in September used a new platform to enable delegates to participate in a Geneva meeting from their home country in any of the agency’s six official languages. This session will examine the objectives, results, and lessons learned, and will review the enabling technology from ZipDX and other suppliers.

Consumer plays Google and Skype are increasingly stretching their legs into the business realm. And there are new video players on deck such as Vidyo. Should hosted CSPs just call it a day? Hear perspectives from a Global CSP who’s been in the market since 1984.

- Providing Differentiated UC Services from the Cloud
- As service providers increasingly look to create their own differentiated cloud UC services, they face inherent problems ranging from integration, to end-user functionality, to infrastructure requirements that are the result of the need to maintain multiple, separate platforms in an effort to deliver custom solutions. This is further exacerbated by the need to service customers of varying size and scope, from SMB's to multinational enterprises. This presentation will discuss a scalable based solution that both delivers best of breed end-user functionality while also easily integrating with existing service provider systems and delivering integrated back-end quoting, provisioning, billing, and management elements that enable for rapid time to market and a high degree of flexibility
