Ira M. Weinstein
Senior Analyst and Partner

Ira M. Weinstein is a 13 year veteran of the conferencing and audio-visual industries. Ira joins Wainhouse Research from International Video-Conferencing, Inc. (IVCi), where he was the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Prior to that, Ira managed a technology consulting company, ran the global conferencing department for a Fortune 50 investment bank, and managed the engineering efforts for an A/V systems integration company.

Throughout the years, Ira has been a frequent speaker at various industry trade shows, seminars, and educational forums. He has written, contributed to, and been interviewed for dozens of articles relating to the audiovisual industry, videoconferencing, collaboration, and presentation technology. In addition, Ira is the co-author of two Wainhouse Research white papers; The Business Case for Videoconferencing, and Scheduling Systems for A/V and VC Resources.

He also serves as a consultant to videoconferencing, web conferencing, and network infrastructure vendors, end users, government agencies, and venture capitalists.

Ira has an Electrical Engineering degree from Lehigh University and is currently pursuing his MBA in Management and Marketing.

Areas of Focus
Ira's current research and consulting focus includes IP video conferencing, conferencing network service providers, global management systems, scheduling and automation platforms, return on investment calculations, technology justification programs, and audio-visual integration. In addition, Ira is charged with the establishment of the Wainhouse Research end-user practice.

Services
For end-users, Ira provides a variety of services and support functions including end-user oriented white papers, needs analysis, end-user and support staff training, custom research, system performance analysis, cost of ownership and ROI calculations, and a variety of benchmarking services.

For vendors and manufacturers, Ira's services include custom consulting projects, solution and technology white papers, market research, the creation of business and marketing plans, product positioning, general marketing support, employee and customer training, project management, and public speaking. In addition, Ira has significant experience in channel management and distribution networks.
