Leading European Enterprises to Speak at the Wainhouse Research Berlin Conference on Enterprise Conferencing And Collaboration

Will Deliver Presentations on Collaborative Business and Technology Trends

February 21, 2005, Brookline MA and Berlin - Conferencing4Business, the new conferencing and collaboration event being organized by Wainhouse Research, will feature multiple speakers from leading EMEA organizations presenting their views on technology and business trends driving enterprise collaboration developments. C4B Berlin will take place April 20-21 at the Steigenberger Hotel.

C4B Berlin will help small and large businesses understand the competitive advantage to be gained from adopting voice, video, and web conferencing and collaboration solutions. Offering attendees a high-caliber conference and interactive sessions, C4B Berlin also will feature two workshops, and table-top demonstrations. Speakers include:

Jon Neville, Global IP Telephony Project Manager for M&M Mars will speak on "Is IP Telephony Really Worth the Risk?" The presentation will cover how and why Mars embraced convergence of its voice, video and data networks. Jon will discuss the business case for global IP Telephony, risk factors, success barriers, and implementation strategies. The session will also cover the migration of telephony from a business function to an application running on the network and the organizational difficulties this brings.

Dr. Ulrich Schwenn, Head of Videoconferencing at the Max Planck Society and also Consultant and Founder of VIPLA GmbH (a videoconferencing consultancy) will present on "The Future of Group Collaboration in Research and Commercial Institutions." Dr. Schwenn will summarize his extensive experiences with videoconferencing infrastructures in Europe including his recent experiences with the European Patent Office.

Giovanni Garofalo is a Communications Engineer at the European Space Agency. Mr Garofalo will discuss the communications solutions used by ESA and how they impact the organizations ability to communicate across multiple locations and cultures to foster teamwork and reduce project schedules.

Adam Broadbent, IP Telephony and Videoconferencing Support Analyst at Arup, will present on how videoconferencing, visual collaboration tools, and IP telephony have become strategic assets in a professional engineering firm providing engineering solutions in 32 countries.
