Thanks for your coverage of this emerging, and quite broad market. One problem I see already is the old "who does what" problem. What is "webcasting"...For example, in the Global Crossing piece you discuss GC as being the first with on-demand webcasting, yet this is not technically true. VideoScape, for example, has offered its customers on-demand webcasting and videomail services for 6 months, which include audio, video, slides, polls and other functionality. All without reservations - just dial up via H.320 and present.
But since VideoScape offers audio AND video, but NOT audio only webcasting, I guess you are correct in saying that GC is offering a first in the reservation-less audio to webcasting service...
So it becomes important to determine just what is "webcasting" and then who does what? I'd love to see (for my own use as well as everyone else) a comprehensive service/feature breakdown, perhaps as a special suppliment to the report.
