well, yes in fact this is correct that it uses little overhead for a single stream. however setup multiple points of video/audio and you see a significnt increase. With the latest procs. however this is of little regard.Yes, we think the technology is very useful if properly coded. we have teamed up with Macromedia to make it work they way it needs to for our product line.
The 10Gbps is inaccurate, it is 10Mbps, far less then stated and then there are capacity packs to addon at 10/500 for 4k so 20Mbps/1000users 9500 dollars (US) and they do offer a 50/2500 addon pack no price listed but we expect to be purchasing several of these addons soon.

(~5% on a 2.0 GHz P4 platform and only ~10% on a 600 MHz P3) We’ve done a comparison to VCON’s vPoint and found the quality of Macromedia to be better even though vPoint consumes significantly more processor overhead than does Macromedia. (vPoint 600MHz @ idle: 10 – 22%; during conference: 80 – 85%. vPoint 2.0 GHz @ idle: 5 – 10%; during conference: 35 – 57%)
Pricing: Where did Andrew get the $35,000 price tag? Their website states a $4,500 onetime server fee for either 10 Gbps concurrent usage or 500 concurrent connections. Ref: http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashcom/productinfo/editions/
What am I missing?
