William James Wilburn writes to Andrew ... quote: I have contacted several companies in the industry and have not been able to find a solution that makes senses to me. What I need is the ability to conduct multiple audio conferences where users only use regular telephone lines, and the single admin can see a visual display of all the conferences being conducted. Conferences should be able to be formed by programming in call numbers/times in specific sequence going out, or on the fly using a visual representation of all users/conferences occurring at any one time. All conferences must be recorded with date/time reference. Almost all calls will be outbound calls, but the ability to field an incoming call using a toll free number would be helpful. Where can I find such a system? I could also share the use of an existing system …

William: I believe an MGC Audio Bridge from Polycom will do what you want. Except maybe the point "All conferences must be recorded with date/time reference": im not sure what you are needing? you need to record the whole conference, or only informations about the conferences (CDR)? Please feel free to sendme an email if you want more details.

William, I belive eDial can help you. http://www.edial.com/audioPresenter.htm AudioPresenter's administrative assistant feature allows admins to see as well as add/drop people from ongoing conferences. We have a recording feature which records the date and time of the conference and allows the conference organizer to send out web links which users can click into to hear the recording. AudioPresenter may make outbound calls on-the-fly or accept inbound calls via access codes. No special equipment (telephones or otherwise) or software downloads are required for any users of the system. Regards, Shawn Holland
